INIF Proposed to Host a Summit for NAM and Developing Countries Innovation Ecosystem Support Funds

In a meeting held with Dr. Amitava Bandopadhyay Director General of NAM Science
&Technology Centre, the chairman of INIF announced readiness to host delegates from active
innovation ecosystem support Funds in Tehran.
The meeting was held on the sidelines of a three-day international workshop on "Policy Making
for the Promotion of Science, Technology and Innovation," where Dr. Ali Vahdat, the chairman
of INIF Suggested a Summit to be launched with the purpose of exploring opportunities and
barriers for collaboration among innovation ecosystem support Funds and said: “This panel can
examine the role and position of funding institutions, defining new mechanisms for further
cooperation in order to raise the level of innovation by NAM Science & Technology Centre.”
“We are willing to host such a meeting with delegates from venture capitals (VCs) and investors
of other countries as well as delegates of government Funds supporting the innovation ecosystem
in non-aligned countries in Tehran.”
During this meeting future cooperation between INIF and Indian technology Funds and the
finalization of the cooperation documents between these institutions were also discussed.
