null ICT

The emergence of information and communication technology (ICT) has changed the world of commerce. Knowledge-based firms in Iran as the offspring of ICT development need assistance with the commercialization of their domestic science and technologies.

Iran has experienced a tremendous growth in ICT in the past few decades. In 2014-2015 academic year, about 740000 students were studying ICT related fields. In the same year, compared with the 20% of ICT workforces working in the public sector, 80% were active in the private sector.

Around 2700 companies are registered in this sector under the following classification:

Aware of existing capacities, INIF aims to support this sector, drawing on help and cooperation from other international funds, offering financial services to international ICT consortiums. It also proceeds to maintain collaboration with international SMEs and large firms and is prepared to define new and innovative international ICT projects.
